Well......after a few weeks of being lazy and not really doing much in the garage....Sunday was a pretty nice day...so I figured it was time to stop procrastinating and get some of those many tasks done...

I have a bunch of cabinet doors and drawers that came from my MIL's kitchen.....

I took out the sander, put on 80 grit paper and gave them a rough surface to give the primer to stick to...

I was very pleased at how well the lacqure thinner worked at removing the typical kitchen oils and just generally giving the surface a good prep.

I then pulled out the HVLP (High Volumn Low Pressure) sprayer...filled it up with primer and shot everything....I thin followed up with the gloss paint.....I took a piece of my gray melamine down to HD and had them mix up a gallon of paint to match...

Let everything dry overnight and hung them tonight.....I'm quite pleased with the results.....

Now I just need to finish the rest of the cabinets....

Looks Good  I just painted my bathroom vanity last weekend which was a blast. BTW I have the same Ryobi drill. Can't beat the performance for the price.

Thanks for delaying my project!

My garage has about 14 raised panel cabinet doors just like yours. Previous Owner rattle canned 'em silver. Looks like hell. I was planning to take them down and paint them with a roller and brush sometime in the next couple weeks.

But looking at your results.... Hell no. I'm gettin' a sprayer!

Well nice job on the doors, but up here they would get lost in our lawn, yours has that nice green look to it that allows you find them easier.

Very nice work.

From you sir, THAT is very much a compliment.....

Tampa....it is a garage....with a second floor.....upstairs is the wife's art studio, a play area for the kids (ALL of their freaking toys are now out of the house) and storage....about 540 sq ft....

Downstairs is ALL MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went the spiral stair case route because we didn't want to reduce the available floor space....it's big enough to carry up your standard tub....the stairs come up right in the center of the roof so we have maximum head clearance (about 6' 1" to the ridge beam). Right in front of those stairs is a section of floor I can remove...it's about 4'x6'....I already picke up a 800lb electric hoist from HF...just need to install it.....

Got it, thanx for clearing it up. I don't remember ever seeing spirals in a garage.
