I like the Tekton picks, the handles are pretty great. And as all seem to agree the website is a refreshing exercise in efficiency.
And I'll agree that
https://www.mcmaster.com/ is another. With such a vast array of products, they do an amazing job of making sure you can find what you're looking for and find out everything you need to know. The CAD drawings are brilliant. McMaster-Carr has invested heavily into technology, and it shows. The only irritants are deliberate decisions made because McMaster is primarily an industrial supplier; they're not a consumer site, but they kindly allow us mere mortals to order. These would be no photos, no brands or COO, and shipping costs are not calculated beforehand. These all serve to speed things up and minimize costs for businesses, but consumers who don't quite get the business model complain constantly.
Having endeavored to ask technical questions of McMaster CS as a [1. casual consumer with a couple total orders on my account], [2. representative of a 5-person company that placed orders ~weekly], [3. representative of a 70-person company that placed typically 1-2 orders/day], it is positively chuckle-inducing the range in quality of support one receives.
Some of their innovations, strategies, and long-term visions are absolutely brilliant. Very clever company. No affiliation, just an interested consumer.
That they happily, freely, and effectively avail such a mass of CAD data and technical summaries to customers and non-customers alike is such a beautiful thing.
