We don't see them too often in Canada either. I get a little envious when I see all the Hazet tools you drag home Wout.

Don't feel bad about offending us. I always enjoy my finds more when I know someone else is envious ;).

That's what you think. I'm envious of quite a few of the tools you've posted. But it's not just you, there's a lot of members that do it to me. It's ok though cause I get lots of ya back with my great finds.

Wout: since this is vintage tools I think we need more pics of your Hazet assistant collection besides just the one in your avatar. ok?

also i'm glad you mentioned that the piece of overhead crane steel wasn't a piece of RR track cause I have maybe 30 pieces of RR track and never have seen one like that.

keep finding cool stuff and I (we) only will be a little jealous if you post up a lot of pics.

cheers

Wout: congrats on the purchase of the old Milling machine and happy to see you have it in your shop. I hear they are a very handy tool to have, but I don't have the space for one and in my small space moving around something that heavy is usually an issue too. i'd love a little bench metal lathe some day once i get all my woodworking tools in a woodshop that is to be built.

I think you need to change the picture of your avatar to the one you posted that has 2 or 3 times as many Hazet assistants? pretty easy to see why they are so rare and i bet there are a few guys on here still trying to find their first one.

keep up the good work and if you don't find new tool finds to post on your thread maybe showing how you spiff them up might be an added feature.

Wout: it's great to have the tooling even if you might not need it for a while isn't it? also looks like you are very organized so that when you'll need one you'll be able to find it instead of heading to the store to buy one knowing that you have one somewhere.

keep up the great work.

NICE AVATAR!!!!
