After my less than steller first impression of Wera screwdrivers I was thrilled when I actually put a few in action. I liked them so much I decided to expand the set with a #3 Phillips Lazer tip and a Kraftform Kompakt 40 set. I don't like ratcheting screwdrivers and I don't like bit driver because in most instances I have to get the screw out while it's down in a hole. Wera had this set where the blades go into the handle and not in the tip. It's pretty stable considering the blade is mid way of the tool. The bits just snap right in and removal just requires you to push up on the sleeve. I'm pretty Impressed with them. The little belt case is pretty nice.

How do you rate it to the SO ratching driver? I am in the market for a new one, and really like Wiha and Wera, but the SO is a tried and true...

This one doesn't ratchet

I'm one of the few that don't like Snap-On ratcheting screwdrivers. The cap is a poor design and comes off. How hard is it to ease up in the grip to let your hand slip around the handle, lol

I'm a huge fan of Snap-On's screwdrivers but have 0 use for anyones ratcheting screwdriver.

What bits does the set come with. It looks like it would be good for in the truck tool kit.

Looks nice. Kinda wish it came w/ torx instead of the pozidrive or whatever.

I wish, Czech Republic. Still nice

I picked up a 6 piece set of Kraftform Laser Tip drivers from Woodcraft and they have black tips instead of gold and are marked "Made in Germany". Woodcraft just started carrying them and their website shows gold tips. Maybe mine are really new or really old.

This kit came with two blades, 1 and 2 phillips and 2 pozidrive. It has room for 3 more bits so I may remove the 2 pozidrive and add in 4 torx and a 1/4 square drive socket bit. It was like 20 dollars for the kit.

I have a set of Wera screwdrivers. The type with the striking caps and wrenchable shaft. They are by far the best screwdrivers I have ever used. They fit so much better than the average Stanley or other screwdriver.
