Nice job! I like how the chair backs don't tough the seats. I always admire good woodworking skills since it's one (of the many) things I doubt I would ever be good at.

Great work! I like the design too.

The best part of building things for me is getting to admire and use your work on a daily basis. A dining table and chairs definitely fits into that category!

Thanks, yes it is very satisfying every time I sit down:)

What a great job! What kind of wood did you use?

Thanks, it is 1/4 sawn White Oak

I found a few more, the queen bed is Red Oak, bunk bed is made from 2x4's, 2x6's, and 2x8's:thumbup:

Very nice work. This spring I'm cleaning the garage to set up some woodworking tools and giving woodworking a shot.

You've been busy!

I notice there are no wood tools visible in your photos. What tools did you use to make your furniture?

That garage was excessively full lol

I had woodworking and body shop stuff in that 2 1/2 car garage. My main woodworking tools include a 10" table saw, 14" band saw, table mounted and freehand routers, joiner, plainer, drill press.

for hard wood projects I buy rough cut stock and machine them to size. This process has paid for my jointer and plainer vs buying finished stock.

this is my current and ongoing project that started in that same space. I have since moved (ugh) and am still working on the new 30 x 35 shop. Hope to be back on the car soon.

With metal...If you cut it wrong you can weld it back together and do it right. With wood...You have to get another bit of wood and start all over.

With wood, we "measure twice cut once":bounce:

Sorry, couldn't help myself. I just meant with metal work I try to measure to a much tighter tolerance than with wood. Wood is always moving around with temp and humidity

I think I got "wood" looking at your malibu wagon!:lol_hitti I have a soft spot for G body malibu's, especially wagons.

hehehe, Thanks

I have taken some grief for doing a frame off on a g-body. I don't care, I couldn't let my wife drive it with some of the issues it had......and of course I got carried away:)
