Morgan 289-1/2 vice

I forgot I had this big boy.
I have had it up at our building in Northern wisconsin mounted to a small platform I built attaching to one of the main support poles of our pole building.
Anyways bringing back home to my shop.
Anyone know the vintage of this.
Says, Morgan , Milwaukee,289-1/2
It's a heavy beast and in pretty nice shape. Jaws are like new.sharp teeth
Have pipe jaws for it also
One picture as internet here is painfully slow.

Looks almost identical to my 289 1/2 parker.

That's because it is, they copied it in order to compete with them. It's almost a 100% copy.

To the OP, that's a very nice vise, if you decide you want to sell it give the community here a shot at it. (ie: me, I'm local) ;)

didn't it go from Chicago to Milwaukee in about 1970? pretty sure member WWII Jeep would know...

It is identical. It even came with the long pipe jaw on the Dynamic. I think you can still buy that vise today from Milw. Tool. It has the "T" style jaws, This is the 288 1/2

Well thanks all for the info.
Gonna keep this one for now.
Gonna mount on my future build,hopefully not too future ,
welding table.
I will be selling in the near future a 4'x10'x.250 all steel table with hd casters and 20a
Plugmold on the long sides if anyone is interested.
