I have an older Morgan vice 3 1/2, which is missing one pipe jaw. I wrote to Milwaukee Tool and received the following reply:

Sorry to say, but your vise has never been made by Milwaukee Tool, meaning that its older than February 1970. We have no records or prints on your vise. Sorry we can't help you out

Does anybody know where I may obtain one pipe vise jaw?

I tried to post pictures, but cannot figure out how it is supposed to work. Keep getting error messages.

I can make a jaw for you if the other jaws are identical and you send me one of the existing jaws. Or, if someone else here on GJ would be willing to send me a jaw set for a Morgan pipe vise like yours, I could make new ones matching the originals.

Otherwise, you would have to make a sketch of what you want and I'd make it to the sketch. I don't have a Morgan vise here with pipe jaws to take measurements from.

Welcome Jimmy to the Forum!
To load photos you can do it a couple of ways. Have your photos hosted by a website like Photobucket...etc. Then when you want to insert your photo, you just click the icon in the Quick Reply that says Insert Image. Most photo hosters will have a box you can just click below any of your photos that provides the web address for you to insert.

The second way is to go to your User Control Panel and look under Photos/Albums. Make an album or you can just click Upload Photos. Use the search box to find your photos on your computer and then upload them to this forums photo hosting. Then you can click on any photo in your album and use the web address under the photo to insert using the Insert Photo icon.

Now to your problem. If P Mech says he can build the jaws....trust him completely. He can do anything with metal and it comes out gorgeous. If no one has the proper jaws to help you, think about making a cardboard template for your missing item. Mock it up and then send it off to be made. Good Luck!

An easier way to place photos is this in the "Go Advanced" posting level:

I have a Morgan #87, it's 1940's vintage & I bought new pipe jaws from the same company that told you they didn't have parts.

Look for the Morgan 87 resto thread.

Maybe its becaues you told them you had a Morgan vise. They might have gotton synical when they said they didn't have parts for a vice. I think I have those pipe jaws somewhere, even the one on the Dynamic side which is usually missing,

WOW, I Am impressed. What a wealth of information. You guys really know your stuff. Thanks for all the information.

I tried once again to post photos, but I keep getting this message:

“Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing.

If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error.”

As you might have guessed, I am not a computer wizzard.

I will try again tomorrow using the suggestions posted

Thanks.
