I swear >50% of auction style listings end up with non paying bidders.
.

I don't sell too many things on ebay -- maybe like 10 items a year, but I can't remember the last time I had a non-paying bidder. Maybe 10 years ago. You can fine tune your seller settings to only allow certain buyers to bid -- from certain countries, above negative feedback, certain # of non-paying strikes, etc... It really filters out the crumb bums.

Yep, the seller meant to put in a higher price before the BIN gets bumped. Legitimate mistake and he remedied it. Someone here got the sale. Instead of acting normal and saying it was a nice deal you're forming a mob, threatening to report him, and shouting "injustice!".

Some of you take these single ebay listing threads to ridiculous lengths of scrutiny.

^This. End thread plz

It burns me because I have been on the shaft end of having auctions ending early due to it mysteriously "no longer being available"....even without a BIN. So yes, I have gotten the shaft enough times on ebay (not to mention playing their pricing games for 15 years) to say that what was done is BS.

Legit mistake with the listing....load of ****.

50% ebayers are non-payers, another load of ****

Forming a mob: no, I don't think so....just speakin' the truth (want to see a mob form, watch "The Ox-Bow Incident" with Henry Fonda)

Ridiculous amount of scrutiny: no, I've been on the short end of the stick more than once, so I don't believe so.

What does that even mean? The auction was two thirds of the way to the BIN price. Are you saying that the OP paid more than the original BIN price of $220?
