Morton Building - Paint Poles or Not?

I have recently purchased a Morton building built in the late 1970s. The support poles are 5.5"x5.5" dark wood on 6' centers. Much of the walls between the poles are covered in plywood or OSB (over an original layer of insulation). The walls are dingy and I am preparing to paint them white to brighten the shop. Is there a reason to not paint the poles? Views?

Thanks in advance.

I left mine unpainted for a nice contrast.
