Would this be a good idea to have done:
$300 option for my 30x40

With regular use, your building will likely come in contact with machinery or tools which could damage interior or exterior of your building. To protect the lower interior wall of your building from damage that may result from impact, Morton Buildings offers our optional protective liner.

Made from 7/16″ OSB, our protective liner provides a solid layer of protection from collisions that may occur when you or others are working in your building. The wood liner is firmly held in place by specially grooved lumber. For additional support, it’s positioned in direct contact with the lower sidewall. Morton Buildings’ protective liner also helps fortify the lower portion of your building by providing additional structural support and rigidity.

Only you can decide if it is worth $300 to you. It sounds like it is just OSB attached to the inside maybe four feet high. You're probably getting about 14 sheets of 4'x10' 7/16" OSB. You could reasonably buy the materials for around $200. You have to decide if it worth paying them $100 for the installation.

When I purchased my Morton building over 20 years ago, that was included as part of the package. It would only come into play if you choose to not add interior panels or walls. I insulated and put a metal interior in mine patterned after the package offered by Morton, so no real advantage for me. Had I been given the option, I probably would have declined since an interior was planned from the start. I guess they felt they should make it optional to help in bidding process. I am still pleased with my building and feel sure you will be with yours. Chip.
