Looking for some input on common battery terminal sizes. I disconnect a decent amount of batteries at work and have mostly been using an adjustable wrench. Looking to put some common size sockets and maybe ratcheting wrenches in a bag to carry with me instead of going back to the rig to the tool box.

Yup, 10MM, 8MM (5/16"), and on older more traditional top post terminals either 1/2" or 9/16" (less common).

My favorite ratcheting wrench for loosening battery terminals, is a 8 x 10 mm ratcheting boxed end wrench made by EZ Red. Unfortunately, it seems they longer make the set that it's a part of :wtf:

I encounter quite a bit of 11mm and 13mm, 11mm for the post and 13mm for the thru bolt on the terminal. These are on replacement terminals, Original Nissan stuff is 10mm for the terminal and the brackets.

You're actually seeing 7/16" and 1/2", that's what's on those replacement terminals.

The top terminals do not take much turning to loosen or tighten. Usually I will have ready just the correct open end wrench, and a terminal puller to use if they are tight.
