I've decided that I'm not going to freeze my **** of in the shop this winter like I did last winter....huddled in front a little electric 110v space heater while working on projects out in the shop. It's a pretty big shop (40'x60') that isn't insulated very well....so I need something I can use to heat whatever area I happen to be working in....I don't want to attempt to heat the entire shop.

I've been looking at those forced air tube type propane heaters...are those any good? How long will those run on a 5gal tank of propane? Am I better off going with an electric heater?

Thanks!

Get a patio heater. Those umbrella type. They are portable, silent, dependable, cheap, and make great radiant heat in a surprisingly large area.

Your post title asks for efficient which is not really what you are asking.
