Great question. Trying to think about what is most used.

Not in any particular order:

Computer (especially Youtube)
Compressor
Cordless impact
Ratchet/socket set
Floor jack and jackstands

Perhaps not really in my shed/shop, and perhaps not the most used, but the tool that has saved me the most is the hand truck I bought at HD when the new wife and I made our first move about 20 years ago. I have used that truck to move more furniture loads than I can imagine, worked as a prybar and rock sled, a tractor jack, kid's toy, garden dolly, and much more.

As I get older, 66 now, a bathroom is about the handiest thing in the shop.

Not a tool, but without a doubt the most valuable thing in my shop is one good friend.

My machinist tools and computer. And a stocked fridge.

As far as a tool that I use the most.......of everything I have, I would have to say my DeWalt Cordless Drill. I would be lost without it.

But I also have mills and a lathe, so with it, there is a lot of necessary tools that goes along with them that are definitely needed.

I'd still have to say the most needed is the cordless drill, no matter what type it is. There is just so many things that it gets used for, in the house, in the garage, and outside, that a hand screwdriver or a corded drill just wouldn't cut it.

I absolutley must have a TIG welder to do my job, so thats the most needed. Soon after come:

Lathe
Mill
Welding Table
6" dial calipers
Tape measure
Bandsaws
File
Torch
Grinder

With these things I can make things, and thus, money.

realized tonight that my engine hoist is probably the best money I've ever spent. It lifts what I can't so I wouldn't be able to accomplish much without it when I'm in the shop by myself.
but more conventionally, my most needed tools are:
-compressor and air tools
-hoist
-cordless tools
-press
-drill press
-and of course a full selection of hand tools, especially the BFH's!.
