I thought it was the nano, I guess sunex has one now with 550 compared to the 450 of the nano? How does the king Tony stuff stack up? I'm really digging the power race for impacts small enough to get into spots where you can't get leverage, imo. Anyone have a recommendation for or against any of them? I noticed cp and ir both just came out with fresh 3/8 minis too.

Sunex makes air tools? Eh, I'll believe it when I see it side by side with the Nano. The Sunex is well over 4" as well, the Nano's under. I like the forward/reverse though.

I have a nitrocat compact impact that is rated at 500ft lbs. It does most anything I need. I seldom use my standard 1/2" impact any more.

The Astro nano is an awesome gun whether it is rated for 450 break away or working I do not know or care, it never fails to perform on any job I use it for and that is daily on heavy equipment. If you are using it diy or primarily smaller passenger vehicles I don't see you running into a whole lot of situations where you'd be using that gun and it doesn't loosen the fastener. I had never heard of astro pneumatic before but after using the impact for awhile I am tempted to try out there die grinders!

Ok, I'm leaning towards buying the nano, working on dump trucks and random heavy equipment in the rust belt, I'm sure I'll appreciate the power.

There is now a more powerful version of the Nano available that is slightly longer. Hopefully Chris will jump on here to inform the GJ'ers about it. They have also introduced mini super short impact sockets to work with the Nano in both SAE and metric.

Only in 1/2" though. The 3/8" anvils were not lasting in duty cycle tests.
