All newer Import and Domestic cars/trucks are metric and 10mm can take apart 1/2 of the fasteners on a car so unless you are working on something else 10mm will rule this thread.

Depends on the parts. Most axles in domestic vehicles are still sae. Dana, Cooperate(GM) Ford 8.8 comes to mind

1= 10mm 1/4 drive 6 point deep magnetic. 2= 7mm 1/4 drive 6 point shallow magnetic. 3= 8mm magnetic and nutdriver. I work only in interiors (dash) or inside the hood (just the battery) The 7mm is exclusively for GM cars.

What on a Jeep is 3/4? Mine is all 19mm.

My Wrangler is lifted, a lot of the replacement & bracket fasteners are standard.

Tie rods and the drag link also as mentioned. Hell they might of been 19mm, I just go with what feels more snug.

It is 1/2" and 9/16" for me as that covers 99.9% of all bolts on my Scout.

1/2" and 9/16" is what is mostly found on the Scout.

What these guys said. 3 or 4 wrenches and a phillips screwdriver will get a lot of work done on a Scout.

When I open my toolboxes all the sockets look so well used (not abused) that it's hard to tell what I use most frequently... In the past 30 minutes I used 7/16,1/2,9/16,3/4, and 1 1/8. This does not mean I don't often use metric sizes lol

8mm Allen on its own dedicated SO ratchet atleast as much as the 3/4" for my belt grinder.

They're 3/4 at least through the last year of tj production. I haven't had my hands on the jk yet but I suspect since the axles are the same those still will be as well

They might be 3/4... but i'm so desperate to switch to all metric i'll take the 19mm. I tried both side by side and couldn't tell which one was better.
