Picked up a couple motel refrigerators
One has the name Danby which It looks like the Headquarters is In Ohio or Canada (probably made in China) it doesn’t say
The second one has The name Season on it
Can’t find any info on that one Trying to find out the age of it
It has a date code of 161121 (no idea what that is)
Found info on the Danby
Said it was “probably” made in June 2016
Wondering if anybody knew anything about them quality wise (good brand)
Might be picking up another one
Plugged the Danby in last night after cleaning, put plastic bottle of water in it
This morning infrared thermometer said 37 on the bottle. I would think that’s pretty good. I had thermostat max temp
Just cleaned and plugged the other one up a few minutes ago

IMHO, they're the same $100-200 fridges you buy at Walmart and similar. Nothing special.

They're often thermoelectric, without a compressor, not a real "fridge", and really crappy quality. Danby is low low end.

Thermoelectric stuff has as really short lifespan. My compressor Danby ran 24/7 for the last 25 years under my bar. Last fall I got a real beverage center and the Danby is now running in my boiler room. I can't count how many small Danby refrigerators I see that are going strong after lots of years. :dunno:

Those cube refrigerators run forever ....bought a new one when I moved into a new dorm sophomore year college -- $75. I sold it to the guy moving in for the summer ($25) as I was getting an apartment.

When I went back for my 20 year homecoming I walked through the dorm --- peeked into the old room .... there was my refrigerator. I know because it was wood grained (plastic) .. and I put a DEVO sticker on it. The guy thought that was the brand name ... felt very old.
