You folks will know this.

I need two motion lights for the side and back of my garage. It gets scary dark at night.

The question is are there any that can be wired together so that when either one is triggered they both come on ?

Don't ask me I have bought probably 10-15 different sets and I haven't found anything that works longer then 6 months. Let along works great the day you put it up but after a couple weeks it doesn't do anything it use to do.

You can buy sepearate lights and sensors, then wire a sensor into both lights. I'm not sure if you can do it with two complete light/sensor units, but I suspect you cannot.

I have low voltage dusk to dawn light in the areas I want Security lights. And have higher intensity motion lights as well. Motion lights aren’t long lived as far as my experience and I have tieid several.

We had a recent power failure and I cannot get mine running. The sensor works but the bulbs don’t illuminate.

The older style motion light were simple wiring inside, the newer LED stuff, I'm not sure. Depends on how much light you want for each side of the garage and how far apart they are.

It might take a little extra work but you could probably make it work if you have two lights on a fixture. Simply wire it up with so one light per fixture is tripped by a sensor.... the left light on both fixtures is tripped by the sensor facing the rear of the garage and the right lights are tipped by the sensor on the side of the garage.

Probably going to take an extra box per fixture and some BX cable or some conduit to run the wire in. The closer they are together, the cheaper and easier it should be.

One other option you could do for some night time light is to add a fixture with a dusk to dawn sensor. In this fixture place a green light bulb which represents supporting your Vets. Don't want to get into a debate but you could "kill two birds" doing this if you chose too.

I have one under my garage overhang and stuck a green LED party bulb in it. It comes on at dark and off when the Sun comes up and only draws 7W.

Yes. We installed five of these lights April 2016. Two are on the end of our home and they are wired such that one sensor triggers both.

All five have worked flawlessly since we installed them.

Yes there are lights out there to do what you are asking. I believe they are called dual zone.

I used a heath-zenith dual zone motion light for two different flood lights.

I also have dual zone outdoor wall mounted lights in front of my two garages.

No matter what motion detector senses movement it will turn on both lights. It works like a 3 way switch, you will need to run 14-3 wire between the two lights. Not ALL sensor lights are wired to work this way.

I picked mine up at Lowe's and they have been working for 6-7 years with only one bulb replacement that I can recall.

I tried doing a quick search on Lowe's and Home Depot but I didn't see anything specific, having just bought a set for my new garage (wall mounted).

You might just need to and look at the actual items in the store.

Here is an example of how they are wired.

good luck.

Lakeroadster nailed it before my reply. I didn't refresh before I posted.

I just looked at my picture I posted realizing that picture was showing two motion detectors and 1 light.

Thorold, that picture you posted is what I had done, I apologize for the confusion.
