Motion Sensor Light Switches

I've seen these switches before at some business's. They appear as a direct replacement for a traditional light switch. Like this:

The ones I've seen looked a little bit more aesthetic and with a sleeker push button for manual on/off to override the auto function than the switch style shown above.

Anyone know where to buy those if you know what I"m talking about, and anyone actually have them in their house?

It is because of those that the NEC is requiring a neutral w/ most switches now.

Yes just bought some at Home Depot and if I recall they're called " occupancy switches"
I installed them in a storage building that we drive into with forklifts and don't need to jump off to turn a timer switch. Only problem is they max out around 600watts.
Cheers

I installed one of the occupancy sensor switches (link below) in my garage and wired it to recessed can lights as a replacement for the anemic garage door opener light. It's on a wall that see's about 98% of the entire garage and laundry room so it comes on when I open any door. I intalled several lights in strategic locations - over both car doors, in front of the car, in front of the man door going into the house and two in the laundry/workroom (in the garage). These all come on when movement or temp change is sensed and will stay on as long as it senses that. You can set it to shut off after x minutes of not sensing anything. Works fantastic.

I used a Leviton 3 way in the laundry room. Works great. We have it set to shut off after 1 minute. I had to partially block the sensor with a bit of electrical tape (inside) to keep it from false triggering when we turned right into the bedroom before entering the laundry room.

Want a laugh...

I got one of these for our bathroom because the kids would not turn off the lights... Fine, the switch was pointed in away from the door--perfect. Almost... Turns out a mirror reflects enough heat that it will turn on the lights, so every time you walked past the door the light went on! Oops...
