I have a light controlled by two three-way switches. I would like to install two motion sensor switches.
As I see it, using regular motion sensor switches without the wire that goes between the three way switches should work. If activated by one switch, the light will work normally. If both switches turn on, the light will get power from both. When the switch timers both time out, the light will go off. Is that correct?

You can find 3-way motion sensors. Lutron makes them.
I wouldn't do it, though. Whenever you get motion sensors competing with each other, things get weird.
If it were mine, I'd use a wireless ceiling sensor and a smart switch to replace one of the switches. Again, look at Lutron.
Good luck,
CD

I have done what you suggest. We were using Lutron devices. We haven't been back to change it and it probably been 3 years.
