Motive bleeder

I think I am going to bite the bullet on a Motive bleeder. My question is which one to buy and which adapters do I need.

Right now my 2 vehicles are a 82 chevy c10 and a 53 ford f100.

I would get this one.That way you will be able to do just about anything in the future.

I would not just a vehichle specific one.then you would just be limited to that vehichle.

Might just need a newer style adapter for a newer vehichle.

Hey dude, you WONT be sorry. I have one and I love it. One word on the adaptors though they are JUNK. I bought the bleeder from Motive and all the adaptors and was very unhappy with the adaptors leaking and so on. (I build classic F100's) anyway, I got the necessary adaptors from Power Probe and they are first class. They are very expensive, but worth every penny. Are you a member of FTE? Not sure what the caost is, but the shop I work at has WYNNS brake bleeder system... with all adaptors... works awsome... have thgought about finding one for my friends race car shop... seems like we are always repairing a line for one reason or another...lol

Sometimes you can get great deals on the Motive bleeders on ebay.

I have a Motive bleeder and it works great. Contact them to find out which adapter you need - it may surprise you. I needed a Ford adapter for my Subaru. They really nail you on the adapters, like $25 each, so get a combo kit if you can.

I wonder if you could just get a spare master cylinder cap and make your own adapter. It really does seem like a lot of money for the caps considering what they are. Plus they don't have them for everything vehicle and those universal caps can be a real pain to use.

You want the 0250. This will work for most applications. I got mine from summit for $89.95...

Go for the kit with all the adapters. Sold separately, the adapters are about $25 each. Buying the kit is much more economical. Plus, once you have one, family, friends, and neighbors come out of the woodwork to ask if you can work on their cars.

Would that work? I dont see an adapter for my old ford truck which does not surprise me. I was thinking of get an old cap and a brass fitting and maybe some jb weld to seal the thread? Its a circular cap but the cap screws into the master cylinder. So the top is thicker than the bottom.
