Hey guys I've got a quick question.

I want to replace the motor brushes in my Cman drill. Brushes are $30 for a pair which is more than I'm hoping to spend. So my question can I take the brushes out of a vacuum and file them down to size to fit in my drill. I have a broken vacuum that I can use. I know they are pretty brittle so maybe sand paper would work better. Thanks. Also if anyone has a set for a reasonable price PM me. They are 1/4"L 1/4"W.

Check around at a few hardware stores. Many of them carry brushes. I found some to fit a 50 year old saw and they were only a few bucks each. Had to cut them a little shorter to fit but they worked great.
