Basically I made a longer handle for my engine stand and figured some on here might find it interesting.

I skipped through your video and liked what I saw. As I watched you approach your loaded engine stand at the end of the video, one thought came to mine. The tip of a long lever being used to rotate a very heavy unbalanced part (like your V8 engine block) can unexpectedly spin in a rather large arc when the counterbalancing weight is released. You don't want that lever to find its path upwards between your legs.

Thx for the Tip LOL either of my heads shouldn't be in the line of fire when the turning pin is out.

I made a side mount engine stand using a combine final drive and a worm drive gearbox. I don't have to worry about it swinging out of control and handles heavy diesel motors just fine.

I only use my stands for small block chevys really
