New here, found this site while browsing for flooring options for my garage.

My garage has came a long way in the last year.
its a 20x22 block garage, detached from the house..
last year i insulated the ceiling
then i didnt know how far i wanted to take it, so i just insulated the wall with foam boards..
after thinking more about it i knew i wanted a place that looked good and was functional.. i work on my bike alot, as well as do some side work out of the garage. i mount and balance motorcycle tires, and do general maintenance as well as performance add ons.

i spend alot of time in the garage, and hang out with friends as well.. its there "getaway from the wife" always good to have buddys to pal around with.

so 2 months ago i figured id finally take the steps to "finish" the garage.

i framed the walls with furring strips, insulated them, ran my electric, and drywalled. the ceiling i had to frame out a bit, i drywalled, ran electric and installed slim flourescent lights. i textured the ceiling (it was a little less work, and it adds some of a noise barrier)

i had some hanging cabinets from a house renovation that i repainted and installed.

i recently made a workbench/cabinets so i could store some stuff/have useable workbench area, and an area on the end (L part towards the wall) that i could slide my air compressor in to get it out of sight when not in use to give the garage a cleaner look.

i have installed a 32" LED TV on a swing out style mount, Kobalt track system to hang 2 shelves which hold the HD DVR BOX, and speaker system.

i also have installed a kobalt track system on the left wall to hang some of my bike stands and tire changing tools.

i have "frenched in" 2 window A/C units, which if need be can be removed from the outside. keeps the garage cool during the summer

the paint scheme is Harley colors (love it or hate it lol)

i will building a bar here in the next few weeks, something that will be used for when some friends are over and me and my wife can have some social gathers in there.

everything is coming together fairly well so far.

i have to pick up some metal to cover the work bench top, and also some to cover my bar that is soon to be built.

i still have to put a couple cabinet doors on my work bench and do some cleaning up, but im happy with the progress i have made so far.

i will be doing some work on the garage floor come spring/summer and get it all finished.. dont know what route im going yet, but i need to fix some of the concrete thats cracked then go from there.

anyway.. here are some pics.. enjoy

Welcome! The shop looks like a great start. I love the H-D colors, I get tired of My all-white ceiling floors and walls. There are quite a few bike Guys here, also.

bikes are my passion. im not the typical HD guy lol..
i actually like to ride hard. i have had around 20 bikes, all genres makes and models.
the street glide (one in the pic) just fit me and my wife perfect. we do alot of touring, and its a great bike for that. we try to stay off the highway as much as possible. I like the twisties! I have upgraded the suspension on the Harley to Ohlins shocks and Race Tech internals on the forks.. handles alot better.. and gave me a little bit of hieght in the suspension for ground clearance.

i have done some road racing before, and cant wait to get back into it. im on the hunt for another sport bike at the moment. but i think im gonna go something with more of a standard feel like an SV650.. owned one before and loved it.. they are blast and super light. plus they have a racing series for them =-)

i dont have access to a brake or shear.. sooo.. all cutting was done with an air shear, and all edges were done by hand.. with a rubber mallet and alot of time. came out pretty damn good, surprised even myself

got some more done tonight
diamond plate kick panels around the work bench and bar

also got the front of my bar done.. i had this design in mind for it, so i went to making it. 3" orange stripes, and the HD bar and shield made out of diamond plate with a wood backer painted black. i drew up the logo free hand (came out pretty decent for free hand) and cut with a jigsaw

still have to wrap the stripes around the side yet, but it was getting late so i called it a night

some after clean up pics
