Hello again

Once it is done it should look something like this

Triumph%205T%20Speed%20Twin%201939.jpg

Hello grandpa, Speed Triple checking in.

clipons_03.jpg

My bike gets it's very own 'car port', I wish I could offer it a bit more, but that is what is available at the moment. I love old motorcycles but thought my first bike should be newer for the sake of being 'trouble free. If money and time become more available, I hope to get a couple old Honda CB's to do up in Triumph/Norton cafe-era fashion for the wife and I.

Hello grandpa, Speed Triple checking in.

Just because one of my bikes is 72 years old don't assume that I am.

Actually the 39 5T was the "Fireblade" of its day and a milestone in motorcycle development in the same way the CB750 was in the late 60's and early 70's

I like the Speed Triple, I like the Streetfighter style. I fancy a triple myself perhaps a Benelli TnT, a Laverda Jota and I quite fancy a KH250 or 400

Hello again, here is a pic of the 5T about 8 or 10 weeks ago. Its moved on a bit since then although a lot of that time has been waiting for chrome to be finished and the like.

Thanks 52ford. I am aware of these models and I understand that they are very good.

I am aiming for a 1/1 scale size example in my lounge rather than a 1/12 size one. There is only 1 thing preventing this happening, unfortunately I am married to her!

Here are a few pics of a clients bike that I am restoring/detailing. A few minor repairs such as a leaking rocker cover and clutch cover. Polishing the paint and installing a new front tire. Mike.

Looks like someone really liked the idea of a Triumph but could only swing a Yamaha.

Congratulations. A little magazine coverage is always a good thing. Bragging rights if nothing else. Mike.

I must contribute this picture to prove that, once upon a time, I had a motorcycle (several actually, byt this was the last). Both motorcycle and car are gone now, unfortunately.

Here's my current project: a '67 Yamaha YL2C.

IMG_6628.jpg

Started out looking like this:

IMG_1557.jpg

Actually, it started out looking a lot worse... This was my first ever motorcycle. Found it in an old farm shed and the owner gave it to me. Theres a long story to go with it, but I eventually ended up with it again and have it almost ready for the road.

I'm actually a Honda nut, so all of the other bikes are Hondas with the exception of the bike I actually ride. What can I say? I like orange kool-aid.

Couple of my 1500sqft "Toy Room"-- Had a small fire a couple years back and am still organizing/cleaning (between rides)hehe

Immediately after fire with everything covered with oily soot-

There's been some changes, but this is my work area. Just picked up a SnapOn Classic 78.

Platform is 7' x 3' x 22" high. Harbor Freight Wheel Chock. And stores in the corner.

Look back in my OP - there is an identical F4 in my garage. I am trying to talk my wife into something fuel injected to replace it.
