^^^^^^^Had to laugh at this comment.
I'm always trying to talk my wife into something :bounce:

Any particular bike in mind?

i don't know - since we got the GSXR 750 she does not want to ride anything else, so maybe another liter bike. We've had two or three at a time until recently.

The house and the garages is in progress.. and it will take some time since we are doing most ourselves.

But this is my motorcycle garage. The cars will get their own detached garage, we are building this as we speak.

There's not but on the walls yet, and I plan to get a small workbench and a motorcycle lift in there. The garage will also grow a bit later, as a new bathroom will be built over the current garage entrance.

The bikes in place (less the sidecar bike)..

The garage will be extended beyond the current garage door..

And the "library" room and workshop is nearby:)

Yep those Gixxer's are addictive, but it's also good when you have a choice

We have two in line fours, a v twin, and a v-four. I realized one day how much sportier our mix of bikes has become - three of the four have slipper clutches and clip ons below the top triple clamp. If the F4 goes we will likely end up 4 for 4.

Nice variety. Reads like you and your wife might do a bit on the track?

Over the past couple of years I've favoured V twins to the fours, mainly because of the engine breaking capabilities and torque they provide.

I do still enjoy the occassional blast on my wifes four - when I'm allowed

We did the twins thing for a while - SV650, Superhawk, and still have the Mille, but I guess I really prefer fours. A bit on the track, with the 600 and the RC30. We can ride pretty fast here - lots of wide open roads and minimal patrolling if you choose the right roads, so we can enjoy the sportbikes as designed.

I'd love an RC30 but they are a rare as rocking horse **** here in OZ and if you can find one for sale their huge $$$$$.
Mille's are almost in the same category, but being a twin have a smaller market appeal
Superhawk's are called firestorms here in Oz, not a bad bike and you can pick them up for reasonable dollars.

We have plenty of wide open roads here as well, the only problem is that most of them are pot holed, so you have to learn the roads well if you want to ride fast. My favorite roads are through the hills, just have to keep a eye out for wild life (roo's, wombats etc)

A couple of pic's to illustrate the point

Not exactly a 'motorcycle garage', but there are motorcycles in my garage...
I've wanted an SV since I first saw one in '00, but I was a broke college kid then. The hawk is in the same spirit, but I'm holding out for a Monster S4R now

91 Hoonda Hawk 650
07 Triumph Daytona 675
07 baby Ninja 250 (for sale, needs rod? bearings)

Dirt bikes live in the shed out back.

Yep SV's and TL's are fun bikes. To bad Slowsuki stopped making them.:headscrat

I'd keep holding out for the monster as well.....Having a 675 and a monster to choose from on a sunny morning would be a problem I could live with :)

You guys got some nice bike garage's. Mine is a little more low key but it gets the job done!

Pictures as I was moving into it after building.

These pictures were not actually taken of the garage but you can see in the background on most of them. I will try to get some more recent ones up soon.

Now that I look at the pictures again it seems like my garage is always a mess but I honestly keep it clean most of the time...lmao

Does anybody know what kind of cabinets these are?

I can't say enough good things about this lift table. Again, the initial cost may be high, but when you add up the extras that are included in the price, the 1650 lb capacity, etc, it is a great value.

Also, Ranger is a division of BendPak and their customer service is unbelievable. I had some minor issues but BendPak bent over backwards and made it right!

Thanks for the endorsement, Git! You're on our testimonials page, check it out!

Here's a couple shots from "Tom's Temple of Torque" at an undisclosed secure location in Vancouver BC (Tom .......... the top of his head anyway, is in center picture LH)

Much going on. We occasionally drink on the job (Cote du Rhone and George Dickel current favorites). Bottom picture center: Rolls Royce Phantom III V12 engine restoration & below that: the front fairing from '69 Triumph Trident that did 182+ MPH at Bonneville.

Not a good pic, but if you look closely at the top you can see one of my tire racks. I just built a rectangular frame them mounted it to the wall with some 45 degree supports under it. The rectangle frame has to have an extra board in middle somewhere to give clearance to hold the tires without hitting the wall.

I just got done painting the floor and building a new bench. I still have to make the doors but pretty much done. Got everything crammed in there again. I did PPG Epoxy with black white and orange flakes. Turned out pretty good. Long process but worth it.

Seeing these monuments to tinkering makes me wince....from 2000 - 2007 I built two separate homes with dedicated 'garages/workshops' for my motorcycles. Sealed floors, halogen overhead lighting, cabinets, in-wall air-supply, etc.

Alas, in early 2008, job changes forced me to move and relocate to Texas. Since being down here, I'm living in a townhouse, which fortunately has a 2-car garage. I've split the garage between my car and my bikes, which is 'serviceable', but nothing as nice and comfy/convenient as a dedicated workshop-garage.

Love the Harley cabinets above the work bench. Did they come like that?
