The only reason I don't have one in my kitchen is that the spacing isn't right, and I have a garage.
No. My wife was traveling in the winter for work and before she left I mentioned it was too cold in the garage to work on the bike and I was going to do it in the kitchen. Of course I got the dagger look, and the "so help me god..." speech. I took the picture and set it as her wallpaper on her computer.
The look on her face was priceless...

Yeah, garages can get chilly up there in NY, my car would usually get ignored during the winter, unless I could get into a heated garage. I even tried to avoid oil changes in the winter.
I do, however, remember the dagger look every time I threatened my mother with bringing my bike, or even parts, into her house to work on them in the warmth. It is a very good thing looks can't kill...

Thanks! No, I bought them at an auction, they were a really **** pasty yellow, so I painted them and striped them! I have a sign company so I did them. I will be doing the others as well someday! And prolly the doors on the bench, well If I ever get them done!

Here's my current mess. Hope to cabinets, lights and new benches done this year.
Do you have more pictures of this knuckle?? Is that the stock frame or custom?? Seems to be coming along real nice!
Ok, I currently have everything jammed into my 2 car garage at the house.
never had a car parked in it for years, me and my Dad have always raced cars and had motorcycles.
My Dad had built a shop out back many years ago,early 70's for his sprint car operation, 24x30 with a 9 ft ceiling.
long story short he and my mother got into it about him always going to be out in the shop so he always worked out of the garage and never really finished it, just used it for storage.
Anyway after my fathers death three years ago I decided to finish the shop for my motorcycles and move the entire operation out there.
I forgot to take any pictures during the teardown phase.
we stripped the sheetrock and old insulation, replaced some of the sill plate that was bad. new insulation, rewired for many more lights and outlets, reinsulated, sheetrocked, painted. my uncle is a painter by trade so we used his airless sprayer to paint, still need to do the door with some metal paint when he gets time.
my friend is an electrician and he did the wiring for me and my neighbor trenches for a living and he ran the gas for the furnace.
I have just begun to move some stuff in from the front garage.
I have a small mill, a small lathe, drill press, etc. to move in and a 5 hp 220 compressor.
Still have to move a couple of benches out there and get some cabinets, have them in the garage but I am going to leave them there.
Here's a few pictures with the Garage Deck installed and the bikes in.
also have a tv going on the wall between the doors to go with the stereo, I ran coax from the house back while we were trenching.
mounted the speakers on the wall, I ran the wires in the walls while I was at it.
It's a work in progress still!!
This shows the driveway beside the house leading to the shop.
Front door and side door of the shop, attached garden shed on the left.
full of construction stuff right now instead of my lawnmower.
Current contents at the moment, Hot Dawg heater on the ceiling and a/c on the back wall. mower gets relocated to the shed again soon.
Fridge in the corner and the panel, got to screw my last piece of sheetrock in place above.
The bikes, V Strom 650 with lots of accessories,
KTM Superduke
DR 650 with a flatslide carb.
SV 650 track bike with gsxr front end and Ohlins shock yellow bike is a parts bike that runs I picked up for $500 !!!

If thats a gas water heater it should be 18" above the floor to Keep gas fumes from getting into the burner. Would hate to see a great shop ruined from a spill or latent vapor

It's a paint booth (no cars allowed.) Each pole-piece is numbered so that it can be taken apart and put back together.

It's a K&L Supply MC625R Heavy Duty Air Motorcycle Lift 1750 Capacity it also has a 40 inch high lift hight so when I drop into the ground it will still have a 32 inch table hight.

Here is a few photos of my shop side of my garage's I want to sink the lift so I don't have things to walk around and the wife can park inside when I don't have a job going.
I'm digging the K & L lift! I used to work at a shop with two of the older models. They're so much more refined than the clunky handy lift in my garage.

Yep, entire bike is all original, it's a 1966 and can go almost 70mph.
