Nice lift! Do you have any more info or build pics on that? I just picked up a 2013 300xc this week to replace the 2012 Gas Gas 300. Again, nice shop.
I dig some picture , i am very proud of my lift ( no more working on my knee :D ) , i use a ram of 36 inches stroke , and the iron plate have 27 inches wide by 84 inches , i will do adapter for snowmobile , and for the hydrolic i use a powerpack

Keep the pics coming, guys! One of these days, I'll get around to finishing my walls and adding air con so I can work in the garage during the TX hot months... Until then, I live vicariously through you! :)

Will try to remember to get pics of my haven in its current state this weekend.

Nice job but what's with the hook on the chain fall? Looks like it's sprung.

I'm in the process of building my bike shed now. I'm done enough that I've slowed down on my efforts, but I'm slowly but surely going to get it done. It used to be a greenhouse built on the side of my split level. Access through a 24" door on the bottom level, and it had a solar heat setup that was pretty advanced when it was built in '76. Well, suffice to say, time took its toll on the greenhouse and it needed torn down. because it already had the door, HVAC and footings in place, I figured why not a manshed? So I'm building a 10' x 20' space to work on my bikes. not a huge space, but it's my space. I'm using 2" x 6" construction, insulated, drywalled, roll up door and a couple of windows. I'll probably post some progress pics in another thread. For now, here a couple pics of the inhabitants of the shed:

it's for me you ask? because I don't understand

If you notice the top hook compared to the bottom hook. The bottom hook is sprung (opened up). That’s from picking a load with the tip of the hook; also why the safety latch was removed it served no purpose any more. If that chain fall was found on a job you’d cut the hook off so no one would use it. Simply not worth the chance of someone getting hurt.

Unfortunately, I do not have a Motorcycle Garage, but I do have a Motorcycle corner in the garage. :)

Was built for these:

As you can tell, we are a Honda Valkyrie family over here in NE Ohio...

My 99 Honda Valkyrie Interstate:

DSC04605_zpsb245f778.jpg

Been all over the country with this one. It is my touring bike. Like riding your couch but has the HP and torque to feel like a rocket sled (for a tourer).

My wife's 2003 Valkyrie Trike:

This:

Became this three years ago:

My wife has been right behind me through 32 states and parts of Canada on it.

Got this one last year; 2001 Honda Valkyrie. Over this winter going to turn it into a "Bagger" with chrome, chrome, and more chrome. Triple tree, wheels, forks, calipers, engine, everything.... chrome to the hilt! Going to be my blinged out "bike night" bike.

DSC_0232.jpg

Now back to the garage.... some of my motorcycle "****" I added:

DSC04535_zps8cc6ad29.jpg

Made this super-sized "States ridden" map:

Now mounted proudly on the wall.

Also added a route map of all the rides we have done over the years, along with miniature copies of my Ironbutt certificates.

DSC04749_zpsa7f8d59c.jpg

Have done 8 Ironbutts.... Lower Lakes 1000 (x2), Lake Superior 1000, Lake Michigan 1000, Lake Huron 1000, Saddlesore 2000, Bun Burner GOLD (1500mi/24hrs), and Ohio 1000.

Rare Valkyrie Poster:

Even rarer, Valkyrie banner (dealer only):

DSC04743_zps51f5db46.jpg

Coming soon.... motorcycle lift (inset in floor) and tire machine....

See ya on the road....

I'm into older oddball European bikes. Most of the bikes I have right now are Italian singles, although I'd really like to add some pre-60's German and British bikes in the mix. Some of the following bikes I've restored and others are awaiting restoration.

2nd3.jpg

1956 Csepel Danuvia (Hungarian)

ps1.jpg

1964 Parilla Slughi

cig1.jpg

1952 Aermacchi Cigno

wr43.jpg

1967 Wards Riverside (Benelli Cobra)

iso1.jpg

1953 Iso GT (next up on the restoration queue)

wr21.jpg

Unfortunately, my "bike space" is wherever there's room

Completed interior renovations fairly recently (other thread).

Me thinks I needs a lift, next.

IMG_1010-X2.jpg

I like this, A LOT. Nice job. I wish I would have seen this before doing my garage. Do you have any more pictures to share with us?

EDIT: Nevermind, I just found your build thread. Nice!
