Just curious as to what kind of storage lifts or stands you all use for storing motorcycles for the winter. I would like to get the wheels of a Sportster off the ground. Thanks.

My good road and race bikes get lifted up for the winter as well> I dont realy know if it matters but I figure then I dont have to worry about flat spots (probably dont anyway) and, I just feel better with them up. Now the caveat. Everything I have is of the sporty type and a couple of pounds lighter than a Harley. PitBull is my stand of choice, 1 for the front and 1 for the back. The front stand just fits under the fork legs and are fairly universal but width may be a problem. There are many types for the back, just check wwith PitBull, they may very well have what you want. I suppose you could also use one of the HF ATV jacks, they do work very good and are well made but I dont think they are stable enough for a whole winter.

don't worry about flat spots, for the few months that it will sit, it wont make a difference. I have a bike that sat for 4 years and it didnt even have flat spots, so a winter without movement isnt going to be the end of the world

If you leave it on the ground, place something between the tires and concrete floor (like an old piece of carpet or rubber). Concrete will **** the moisture out of your tires. If you have a Racedeck floor you should be good. I will still put a piece of carpet even though I have a epoxy floor.

Just my 2 cents.
