motorcycle table lifts

Does anyone who owns a bike table lift have any pictures of the underside? i'm building my own and need some ideas on the mechanics of the scissor action.

Run down to harbor freight and check the ones they have out. Or just check out a scissor lift at any rental place to give you ideas.

Wish I had the extra 300. I have all the scrap steel i need, free wire and gas for my mig welder (work), free caster and a hydraulic cylinder from an old porta power

I've seen home made ones that are very similar.

does yours feel very stable? also have you tried a dresser-weight bike on it? mine weighs in right about 800 lbs, just wanna make sure that its gunna be stable. and I will definitely post pictures as soon as I start it (hopefully later today)

I've had a 800+ pound BMW K1200LT Touring bike on it, and regularly 650+ pound BMW duel sports. It is plenty stable, and rated for 1200 pounds.

okay good deal. The parallelogram lift concept would be a little easier to actually design from the actual jack/cylinder standpoint.

I'll look when I get home. I actually don't use the air pump. My compressor doesn't have a large enough tank, so I just foot pump it.

If you do not want to get involved with hydraulics I have seen one built that used a boat trailer winch.
It did take a little extra room though.
He put the winch on a brace apx. 3 feet above the floor and the same past the end of the platform.
The rope was attached to the platform.
Pulling the rope lifted the parallelogram.

There appears to be no number on the lift anymore. I've had it 5 years. HF doesn't seem to sell this particular one now. I doubt they have the parts wither. I hope mine doesn't break!

for those scissor lifts, it looks like the ram is attached to a shaft with pulleys on the ends that open it up via the curved sections on the legs, correct?

Here is my most recent concept. I'd have to look at work and see what I have down for a price. There are a lot of flange mount bearings, thrust bearings and chrome bolts in this concept. I also don't have the cylinder or casters mounted in this assembly.
