Shortly after I purchased my home, I spoke with Joe at ME regarding some Lista cabinets for the garage. Long story short, the timing wasnt right and I didn't end up placing the order.

Fast forward to late September 2015. I had been on the ME mailing list since talking with Joe in ~2011, and always browse the Junkyard Specials. I noticed they had 3 cabinets that were nearly identical to the ones I had Joe price out for me, and in a color that I was interested in. I was also in the middle of foam insulating/sheet rocking my garage, so it was nearly empty. My only trouble was that I was away for work, and wouldn't be back at my residence in NH until late October or early November. I sent Joe an email, with my fingers crossed that this wouldn't be an issue. I was 100% prepared to hear that the cabinets were on a "first come, first serve" basis, or that they needed to be picked up/delivered in a timely fashion. Much to my surprise, Joe replied "no problem", so I placed the order for the 3 cabinets. A few weeks later, I ordered a butcher block top from Joe and Isabelle to finish off my new bench, and to time delivery with my pickup of the cabinets from the Lista factory.

I was finally able to make it down to the Lista factory in early November to pick up the cabinets. While I was mentally prepared for these things to be heavy, I guess ~600lbs didn't register as such a big deal when reading the specs online! My father and I were able to load them into my enclosed trailer, and hauled them back up to my place in NH. Fortunately the timing worked out perfectly, and my Race Deck floor had arrived earlier that day. After laying the Race Deck, I moved the cabinets into the garage. I made a quick trip to Lowes and purchased a 6'x1" wooden shower rod, which I cut in half to use for moving the cabinets; this made moving and positioning the cabinets a cake walk.

After I had them inside, I began un-packaging them. Being "Junkyard Special" cabinets, I fully expected them to be rough around the edges. While the ad on the Motorhead site listed 2 as "as new" condition, and made mention of a dent/scratch on the top of the 3rd, I still expected some damage, scratching, dents etc., especially considering I picked the 3 up for the price of a single new, undamaged cabinet. Much to my surprise, the cabinets were EXACTLY as advertised, two were in brand new condition, and the third had a minor dent/scratch along the top. Unfortunately in my excitement I didn't snap photos of all 3 along the way, but I was more than presently surprised with their condition.

Here are some pictures of the new work bench/tool storage area. Unfortunately my space is limited (~380 sq/ft) for the time being, but combining my work bench and the with the cabinets helped free up a ton of room. Sorry for the quality of the images, but I was on a tight timeline to get everything moved back into the garage before I took off for work again. Ill get some better shots when I get back home again!

All in all my experience Motorhead Extrodinaire was nothing short of perfect. Joe and Isabelle were very easy to deal with, polite, friendly and more than willing to work with my unusual needs. I am absolutely ecstatic with the way the bench came out, and look forward to doing business with them again.

That's great to hear. MH seems to be the exception anymore with providing a quality product and service at pricing levels that aren't through the roof. I browse their junkyard specials weeklong hoping to come across the largest mobile tool box lista makes. Back in March they had a smoking deal on one, but It sold before I decided to buy the darn thing.
