Hello everyone,
I'm moving into a new (to me) home, and the previous owners have taken all the curtains with them (no big deal, it wasn't stated in the contract).
I've always been a 2" white wood blinds kinda guy in all of my previous homes, but the previous owners of this new home had a very "nice and modern" look to their large/long curtains.
While I can go ahead and put in new curtains or blinds, in the back of my mind I've always wanted to do a home project where I have motorized blinds or curtains, for all the windows.
It's not really a necessity, and it's fairly easy enough to walk to all the windows and open them up, but I always thought it'd be neat to wake up in the morning and "open up" the house all at once.
Has anyone tackled a project like this? I won't be able to (easily) run wiring to all of the windows, and I don't exactly want to spend a fortune on this endeavor. But I am fairly handy at most things...
If anyone has any DIY ideas, or simple systems that you've bought in the past that have worked well for you, please feel free to post!
Thanks folks!
