I am making a big stand for my Morgan 150 vise and had a question about which way the base should go. The vise has a 3-hole base. Dose the 3rd hole go to the back of the vise or the front of the vise?

Since the stationary jaw should be placed out past the bench edge where it's mounted, the 3rd ear should go to the back.

Keep in mind that you want the face of static edge of the vise to be past the edge of your work bench. Think about it this way, if that static edge is over the work bench, you will not be able to hold something long that needs to be vertical and below the top of the work bench surface. That being said in order to assure that, the 3 ear needs to be behind at the back.....

Looks great, and I see you got the memo, that the face of the fixed jaw needs to protrude beyond the edge of the bench or mount - so long work can be extended down to the floor.
