Running from lights along ceiling and down the wall.
You don't. Extension cords are not intended for permanent use.
never tried to "mount " an extension cord-might be a shocking experience!

If you jumble them together, they hold each other up.
So there is a problem with this?
I guess thats better than running it across the road.

It's a house we are renting. Can't do anything permanent. That's the problem. I'd like some way to make it look semi nice.
Yeah and they are round instead of flat so they don't pinch the cables. They make insulated staples just for this need.
Numerous sizes.

OK So not to hijack the OP's thread, but i think i have a legitimate question....
I I have an extension cord reel plugged in at the outlet in the ceiling sharing it with my door opener, is it ok to leave that plugged in all the time as long as nothing is plugged into the reel?
Fires are my biggest fear.
I have the exact same situation and would like to know as well. I had no idea extension cords were such a dangerous and touchy subject lol.
If that was the case nothing should ever be left plugged in?
Please think carefully on this. We had a housefire 01/2013 that was caused by an extension cable that was being used "permanently". The fire investigator said NEVER use an extension cable like this. They are meant to be used temporarily. I learned my lesson...please don't repeat my mistake.
