hey guys,

I need some help mounting my 60 gal upright compressor in my 5th wheel mobile shop. It has a 3/4 ply floor in it. I do not know how much i want to bolt the compressor to the floor(would it be strong enough?) but i dont have any other great ideas.

I was thinking of making a 4'x4' frame from 2x4's with a sheet of ply over to bolt it to and then when i am mobile just strap it down.

not sure what i want - somebody out there must have a brilliant idea.

Justin

There's got to be a metal frame under that subfloor: It's a trailer.

Find a way to bolt it straight to that. No matter how far you spread the load out, 3/4" subfloor is going to let that thing go flying in a wreck - that compressor & motor way up there have a LOT of leverage.
