Mounting Ideas?

My brother gave me this old chain hoist. I don't really have a use for it, but thought it was very cool.
I'd like to hang it on the wall in the barn but its heavy....was thinking of mounting it to a piece of wood then mounting the wood to the metal frame of the barn....thoughts? Any other ideas?

Uum, maybe try hanging it from the hook?

Not really seeing the allure of hanging that on the wall though...

How about an eye screw (lag size) from the ceiling along the wall ?

Then a piece of safety wire wrapped around the bottom end of the handle with a loop in it, screw the loop to the wall to hold it against the wall.

Its wall art until it needs to be used until then it wont be in the way haha.

I did this with a beer keg and an old block and tackle I picked up on the side of the road…..it hangs over my poker table.

That's not a block and tackle. It's a differential chain hoist.
