Is there any tips on mounting an indoor mini-split air handler on a metal liner panel (like tuff rib or similar) mounted vertically. I will have additional girts behind the panel so no problem in having something to screw to. I was considering
I originally was going to use 3/4 plywood for the walls but price has gone up since the build started and metal at least in my quotes is about 30% cheaper. Not sure if that's worth giving up the ability to just screw stuff to the walls wherever but I guess we'll see.
- using unistrut run vertically with a horizontal piece and bolting the minisplit mount to it ,
- Shimming uses a small block of wood, or washers or something
- Mount plywood to the girt, air handler to the plywood and install the metal liner around it
