I got this old Mark 1 jointer from a family friend. Am I missing something to mount the fence to the machine?

more pictures might help. can't tell from the picture & angle whats up
maybe there's a slide that slips in to that groove or ( dovetail) . if that's all that's missing, it should be a fairly easy fab.

Does that thing sticking up in the 2nd picture near the red knob (red oval) slide into the groove on the side of the table (red arrow)?

Looks like the hinged piece and the screw work as a stop to set the fence square to the table, and the little finger is the dial indicator
