Mounting manual transfer switch outdoors

I have a Generac Homelink that I would like to install. My electrical panel is mounted on the outside of the house. Is there a way to mount this transfer switch in an exterior enclosure?

Is the transfer switch rated for outdoors - NEMA 3R rating? It will say so on the enclosure

The enclosure is a NEMA 1 and the power inlet box is a NEMA 3R. I need the enclosure to be outdoor rated.

Edit: Why didn't you buy a NEMA-3R transfer switch?

I looked at the owner's manual for the Generac Homelink panel, it's rated NEMA 1 for interior use. To use it outdoors you'll have to purchase and install a separate NEMA 3R rated enclosure, and then mount the Homelink panel inside that. The enclosure that Pattenp linked above should work, or something similar.

A relative works at a big box store and it was a special order return item. Had been up in top stock for awhile and they wanted to get rid of it. I think I got it for about $35...couldn't pass it up.

If I can't make it work, I will just sell it.

can you mount it on the inside opposite of your panel? Not sure if it backs up to a garage or living space.

No it currently has to be on the outside. The inside of that wall is the living room.
