mounting router to router table

I have a craftsman router and router table.

The router is the same as this.

Do I remove the clear plastic front of the router to mount or do I mount it with that one?

I would imagine you remove that shield

Normally I remove the plastic sub base. You may not get enough bit protrusion out of the table if you leave it on.

Remove the clear base and screw directly to the metal square or rectangular base of the table.
