Hi folks, I need to mount a shelf to my glass shower wall. The wet side of the wall!
There is one screw hole I have access to.
I need a secondary mounting point under that where typically it would be a second screw.
But I don't want to drill.

Is there any waterproof adhesive I can use that will be strong enough to hold a couple pounds?
But will still be removable if I decide to change things up in the future? I don't want permanent.
I just want strong. Not sure what the middle-ground product would be.

I keep a few rolls in varying widths of the red backed stuff in the shop. Its legit ****-see it all the time in the automotive field. Your shelf isn't going anywhere with that on there.

If you had an open tube of silicone sitting around I would be temped to give that shot.

I'll 2nd 3M.
I know you said you do not want to drill, but It needs to be said that you can NOT drill into a glass shower wall because tempered glass will shatter if you attempt to drill it.

Also be careful what you do with that screw hole that you are planning on using. Pictures would be helpful.

i would go to a "Crafts Store" like Michaels (sp?) or Hobby Lobby; I am sure that someone has already solved this problem.

3M makes a lot of different double sided tapes. The one glaziers use to mount things to glass is VHB. Available on Amazon in small rolls of various widths.

Why not use magnets? Glue a magnet to your shelf and put some steel (enclosed in PlastiDip) on the other side of the glass. Makes it easy to remove both for cleaning.

Doesn't have the 30lb strength as the other stuff, but this one is clear. Might be a little more aesthetically pleasing on the glass wall.

Have any of you seen the new clear stuff they are advertising on tv? I haven't used it yet but seems to be very useful. I do have some rubber pads for pistol magazine bases that come w/ something similar. They say they are infinitely reusable.
"... it will stick directly to the magazine pad (and can be reused - remove and wash under HOT water to reactivate adhesion)"
I use them and although I haven't needed to move them I believe they would hold to the glass very well. I think this new tape must be the same or very similar stuff.
