Mounting strip lights metal ceiling molly anchors?

So I'm out in the pole building trying to figure out my spacing between (lights run end-to-end) my 8 foot florescent light fixtures for the length of the building. My trusses are roughly 4 feet apart. So this whole spacing issue gets complicated trying to make sure each 8 foot light falls on 2 trusses so that I have something to screw into.

I'm wondering if anyone has mounted their lights to a steel ceiling using molly anchors if the light only fell on 1 truss? I should mention that I'm running 1/2" conduit between the knock-outs on the end of each light.

The only other option would be instead of running 7 lights (evenly spaced) end to end for the length of the building I could go with fewer lights and larger spacing between lights to make sure each light sits on on 2 trusses. But then I probably won't get all my lights to fit in my space or I'd have to go 5 rows instead of 4 and hope that the 5th row isn't a light or two short.

As your conduit passes over the bottom of a truss, secure it with a strap. That and one screw though the housing should be ample.

If you want to put the lights where you want your going to have to
mount something to the trusses, I'd consider using unistrut/ kendurf.

You could also just run a thin wooded plank end to end, Paint it if you feel the need.

Just hung 16 8' T-8 4 -bulb fixtures to my 19 GA ceiling. Metal screws, never hit a truss, lights ain't going anywhere.

I hung 14 yesterday. Turns out that between the screws in the trusses and the conduit being attached with a strap that it had plenty of support. I did use a couple of toggle bolts for end lights where there was no conduit and the last truss fell towards the middle of the light.
