Please continue to use them I'm just a *****. A few years ago I had a customer with a new 250k R.V. with about 15 electronic ultra sonic plug ins on the inside of R.V. and another 15 in the shop outlets. When he got ready to go south for winter he discovered rats and mice did over 100k in damage. Chewed wires, leather seats, engine hoses, ect, also the thing stunk like urine. He also swore these things worked great prior.
Yes, evidently you are as it seems you didn't bother to read the post past what you wanted to see.

I've seen a study or two on ultrasonic pest repellers (no, I can't cite sources. Wasn't important enough to make a note.) Conclusion was that any of these things, along with sunflower windmills and scarecrows work somewhat for a while. Then the pests get used to them and come back. The same would probably be true for any major change in the environment. Even poison has its limits when used consistently. There's even a term: bait-shy.
Exactly, and they tell you this about the rodents. Spiders and bugs-not so much. But you get the same benefit from them with NEW rodents, until they start testing it out, which is why I still use Victor traps.

I am currently trying out Mouse Magic. It's a peppermint oil based repellent in a beanbag type pouches that you toss where you typically catch mice. It is supposed to last about a month. I tried using straight peppermint oil and is seemed to work but it would dissipate quickly and then I would trap another mouse then apply more peppermint oil and the cycle would repeat. I am hoping that the Mouse Magic will last longer. The package recommends replacing the pouches once a month. I did still catch one mouse since adding the Mouse Magic but that may have been do to the placement of the pouches. I will have to try the product for a couple of more months before I state that it works and I may need to replace the pouches a little more often in a garage.

Our new-fangled plastic victor mousetraps that went out last week are 3 for 3 right now... easy to set, their design makes it darned near impossible to snap yourself, and like I said... 3 for 3 - 2 of them in the same place within 24 hours. Using Tomcat Liquid Gel bait - it's blue, which gives credence to the old saying - Never trust food that is blue in color. It seems to be better than Peanut Butter up here - maybe it's got some anti-freexzng agent in it, which was a problem we had using Jif PB.
