Mouse nest in welder

I was moving my synchrowave 250 today and the dog took a great interest in it. It was a huge mouse nest containing around 15 lbs of dog food, hair and ripped pieces of dog blankets.

I got the nest vacuumed out but there is the sticky, smelly residue of mouse urine on the frame, along with rust from being wet so long. The only good news is they didn’t chew up any wires.

Any suggestions for cleaning agents that won’t cause corrosion trouble if overspray gets into electrical connections?

I use odor eating enzyme that I buy from the carpet cleaners supply store, Departing tenants pets really stank up a rental and the animal urine had destroyed the carpet and padding and soaked into the plywood. It took several applications but it cleared out the odor.

I would try a damp rag first. As long as it does not get soaked and you let it air for a day or two it should be okay.

I wouldn't use any chemicals, just wash with distilled water and brush. Let it dry throughly before turning it on.
