I bought their 5gal sonic parts cleaner to do engine parts. It is great, heats up really well and has a good sonic setting for cleaning. I am quite happy with it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a parts cleaner. I'm a Harbor Freight junkie, but the price for the size I got blew the HF one out of the water (plus the sizes offered were really good on Vevor).

I also bought "driveway fabric" for my garden and am quite pleased with the way it works.

I've only put hands on their carts, and an inner tie rod tool. Those aren't too bad. The tie rod tube has some deformation from the guys at work... But so does our older set. Crusty old fleet vehicles are hard on stuff 🤣 yeah, the guys are too.

Can't comment on any other goods. They've got some catching up to do if they want to brick and mortar compete I think.

Up until a year ago or so I would have categorically ruled out buying from Vevor or Vevor products via other platforms. And I still do for Temu, AliExpress & Amazon.

However, the incident with my automatic/retractable hose reel changed my mind in regard to Vevor. If I buy a Chinese made product, branded by one of my suppliers, who then can’t service/repair it anyway as they said - and refuse any warranty or courtesy, why would I pay the supplier’s markup for their branded version, when I can have the ‘Vevor’ branded unit for significantly less?

Additionally, Vevor seems to operate/ship from within the European Union (for me!), their shipments arrive very timely, free of charge (for now!) and no import fees. Their new ‘invoice’ does state VAT, so I assume they fulfill their obligations. And that is the end of the story - for me.

Obviously, it’s a by case/ purchase decision. Would I blindly buy everything from them? No. Will I consider them for a lot of products? Yes. Do I think that the manufacturers behind the products evolve and get better at manufacturing the products and deliver better quality with each ’generation’ of the product? Yes.

Long story short, I have purchased from Vevor directly & I have purchased Vevor brand products through 3rd party platforms that they sell through. So far the products perform as expected and I’m happy with the purchases.

Kind regards,
Olli

Quoting myself from the other Vevor thread: https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/vevor.546169/

I’d appreciate a physical location to handle the products and thus be able to make an easier decision on if something’s worth buying or not.

Hopefully they come to Europe/Germany one day.

Kind regards,
Olli

I love Harbor Freight, but I’m happy to see other companies come along to compete on products and pricing.

It’s a win for those who believe in “affordability”

Is this like a race to the bottom with the cheapest Chinese **** we can fill our garages and homes with? :lol_hitti
If, by "cheapest", you mean price, then absolutely.

"race to the bottom" = the usual silly rhetoric. I don't know about anyone else, but every dollar I save, increases the level of my bank account.

Everyone (not in denial), knows the quality of imported goods are usually good, sometimes even great.

Hey, I’m a frequent flyer at HF, and my (US General) box is probably 50% other Taiwan and European makes.

I bought a Vevor fume extractor a couple of years ago and it has been a solid performer. I then got a "5000 watt" 240/120VAC transformer and for the price I am satisfied. The toroidal transformer inside is hefty but the internal wiring and outlets are all thin and cheap and I wouldn't want to draw more than 15 amps from it. But it works fine for my purpose. I also have a 3500W 240V induction cooktop in my kitchen. It's excellent for heating a pot of water fast. It does not have the precision of more expensive cooktops, but I think its performance is on par with other less expensive cooktops. Mine was an Amazon return but works fine. I suspect that many catering-type items are used once and then returned.

One nice thing about Harbor Freight is that, at this point in time, they're actually putting thought into their product lines. Not always for the win, but they do try. Sometimes it's the little things even, like the Icon sets in plastic cases that have the contents in raised letters on the side. I imagine that its because they've gotten big enough that they can dictate to suppliers what they want.

Does Vevor do anything other than rebrand products and give them an orange paint job? I dunno. But competition is good, so go Vevor!

I’d fi there to check things out. I have a few of their things and have no complaints so far.

First purchase was a 1” air impact and I’m quite impressed. It hits hard and puts out around 2,000ft lbs as “measured” with a 1” breaker bar and my 275lb self on the end of a 7-1/2’ pipe not being able to further tighten the nut.

I have a Vevor anvil, and it's great- I couldn't even ship it UPS for what I paid. Obviously, they slap their name on the same Chinese anvil that ten other brands do.

The reality is that HF has gotten "too big for their britches" in the last few years and they need some competition to keep them in check. It's like the "big three" chain auto parts stores- they were cheap 30 years ago but now that they've ran all the mom and pops out of business, they no longer need to have good prices since they have no more competition; all three stores in town charge the same price, to the penny, for the same item, which is often double the online price. And they don't even remotely try to compete with Walmart on oil prices.

My return experience after buying directly from VEVOR, is about as bad as it gets.
Will only buy from them through Amazon or HD now.
To be fair, that probably true buying anything directly from Chinese sellers.

They don't yet really go for "100% customer satisfaction" mantra , like Costco, WM, etc.

I made my first purchase from Vevor last month. I purchased two gas cans (Jerry Cans) on sale for the sum of 2 for $45. I followed the online delivery tracking which showed that the items were mistakenly delivered to an address in a neighboring city. I immediately contacted Vevor on their website via an online chat. The service representative resent the order which I had received two days later. The original order was also delivered several days later. I again contacted Vevor to inform them that I received the replacement order, as well as the original order, and asked how I go about returning two of the four cans that had been sent to me. The representative told me that there was no need to send them back, and that I could keep them free of charge.

In summary, the gas cans appeared to be a quality product for the price, and the customer service was great.

Incase anyone reads this before going.
Stopped into the new vevor store yesterday.l. figured it might be good for a laugh and to see what they have in there. It is absolutely not worth the time. I have q friend that lives near by but I won't ever waste my time going in there again.
Beyond the obvious all made in china junk, you dont actually know what is in the boxes. The labeling on all the packing and signage doesn't even match the contents. "4 pack 150lb ratchet straps 50' orange vent hose" which one is it? Your guess is as good as mine.

The brief interaction I had with the manager and the way he was talking to all the employees, you could tell he was a giant weasel. He was on the computer and kept telling a Chinese guy "trust me, trust me." As he was showing him sales numbers. Super shady.

I felt bad for the people working there. Items won't ring out at the register. Hopefully they can find somewhere better to work.

Only thing I took pictures of were a set of ls headers and an integrated 4 cylinder manifold with turbo.
