We will be making a move in the near future (400 miles), and I would like to move my Atlas 8000 4 post lift. My plan is to disassemble (with help) the lift and move the pieces on to the moving van. I have dollies for the ramps, and there should be plenty of room as we are not taking much furniture, no appliances etc. Has anyone done a similar move?

I used my car trailer to move my 4-post, dismantled as little as possible and put the pieces on the trailer. 2 guys (me and my daughters ex-bf) moved it in about 3 hours, dismantled and re-assembled. Not counting travelling time of course.

As stated above, I bought mine used. My son and I disassembled it and moved it on an open trailer.
Couple years later we did the same thing moving it to my son's house for the summer.
Then we brought it back to my house for winter storage.
No biggie.

the ramps will take a lot of muscle to move up the truck ramps as there quite heavy. you may want to rent a flatbed trailer for the few bucks extra

I called a local towing company, was told they moved lifts all the time. They showed up with a rollback truck. Lift wheels were already attached. Winched it up on the bed, strapped it down. At my home, he let the lift roll off the truck holding it back with the winch motor. A friend and I pushed it back in the garage. A little over an hour and $125.

I winched one on a rollback a few months ago for a customer. He installed his caster kit proper to me
Getting there, 15
Min load time and we booked over to new location. We were over legal width technically though.....
