We live in Texas and have a 14-year old Rheem A/C- Natural Gas Heating unit in an interior closet just off the LR. In the summer, it's so loud that we have to constantly adjust the sound on our TV. I was told that I would need to purchase a new horizontal unit for the attic and the cost of moving the gas for the furnace would be really expensive.
Would it be cheaper to move it into the garage, next to where the hot water heater is?
