Hello all,

Found this forum while researching garage floor coverings for a house I am purchasing.

I want the first thing I do to the house to be the garage floor, as I know once I move in I will never have a better opportunity to knock it out.

I plan on cleaning the garage floor, then renting a diamond pad and buffer to grind it, I was going to go with the Legacy Deltadye with SEC sealer. Then realized it would only be a hundred or so more to do SPGX in tan.

The garage is 550sqft and the house was built in 1980. From what I saw with the previous owners stuff in the garage it didn't look like there were any cracks. Just some oil stains. One window and two separate garage doors.

Use will be moderate, occasional vehicle repairs, storage of my SxS and some wood working. Main reason for a covering is to make cleaning easier and reduce dust, and overall aesthetics.

I was thinking of getting 3 gallons of SPGX in tan, or 3 Gallons of DeltaDye and 3 gallons of SEC (if i remember what my calculations were).

I hear horror stories of these epoxy kits that don't cover their stated coverage, and nothing says if the coverage is single or two coats. It all seems a bit confusing.

Is there a forum discount at any of these places?

Any suggestions?
