Moving toolboxes

I researched how to move heavy toolboxes without help and thought I would share how I moved mine. I rented a Uhaul tandem axle 6x12’ trailer with ramp. It has tall sidewalls and stout tie down locations. I used plywood and a Warn 120V winch to pull the boxes up. It was effortless.

Thats pretty slick. Wish I had a low deck trailer to move my new toolbox. It was quite hairy getting it from my pickup bed, down two four wheeler ramps, and onto my driveway.

I did similar, but lacking a winch, used alternating ratchet tie down straps to creep it up the ramp a few inches at a time. Slow, but worked.

I called my local Mac tool truck guy and he moved my box for a case of beer with his truck that has a huge powered lift gate.
