Mr. Cool DIY error code "P0"

Hello,

I have just completed installation of a Mr. Cool DIY 18K BTU Ductless Mini-Split and powered the unit up for the first time.

Unit powers up. AC works.
Heat does not work.
Unit displays "P0".

I'm wondering if anyone here has encountered this error code before.

I did not see a P0 in the manual, but it says for P1 p2 p3 ....
disconnect the power then connect it again
turn back on.

if persists disconnect and call nearest customer service center.

I know that does not help, but that's all I can see.

A different manual for another model says
Inverter module IPM protection displays P0 and flashes 1 time per sec

check your power with a meter

I believe I located the manual that you are referring to here as the error codes seem to match. I contacted Mr. Cool support and the technician also identified the inverter module as possibly defective. After some lengthy testing, Mr. Cool has offered to send a new unit.
