Wow what a site. My friend Kimmer told me about this site the other day so I thought I would check it out. I see so many good ideas about doing things in the garage to make things more convenient to work on gear head stuff.
My name is Gary and I have been working for 50 years to have my own personal workshop garage to enjoy when I retire. I saved important extras (my Wife calls this stuff junk) for all these years so when I was able to have some super toys I could do special projects to these toys. I also was able to obtain 3 Harley motorcycles and two great sport cars to play with. For the last 5 years I have been having a great time here in Sedalia, Colorado playing in my 1600 S.F. heated shop/garage. We live on the same property so I can go to my shop anytime I want to. I live on 6 acres in the country so I don't have to worry about making to much noise that might bother my neighbors.
But after 2008 our income has gone the wrong way for a car guy and we are going to have to sell and move back to a town home. This will be weird for me because I have not lived in town for over 21 years. We have stayed here for as long as we can by selling some of the toys and paraphernalia we collected to help pay bills but after awhile the cost of things out does the amount of money a person can make these days. I hope that I can find another gear head to buy our place here in the country. We have a 3800 S.F. house in addition to the shop.
I hope when I move I will still have a place to put my tools and play with whatever toys I have left. If not I guess I will work on other people's toys.
